Successes

In 2017/18, we will provide sport for a record number of members – over 1,000 boys and girls playing football in 80 teams from U7 to U18, plus a Ladies team, a Veterans team, Senior team, and initiatives for Walking Football and Inclusive Football.  Our fastest growing section is Girls Football – our priority in terms of the club’s development.

At Raiders, we play competitive football but we measure our success by the enjoyment and involvement of children from our local community, not just by winning Leagues and Cups.

An award winning Club

Fa Charter Standard AwardIn 2017, Raiders was awarded the Herts FA Charter Standard Community Club of the Year (and a cheque for £600!) for the fifth time, and was also named the Greater London FA Charter Standard Community Club of the Year.

In 2015/16, Raiders was awarded the national “FA Charter Standard Community Club of the Year” for our contribution to grass roots football.  Raiders received the award at the FA Community Shield game at  Wembley from Sir Geoff Hurst.

And in the same year, following on from the national award , we received the Silver Award  for UEFA European Grassroots Club of the Year – making Raiders the no 2 youth football club in Europe!
