Join Raiders
Raiders is an all abilities club with a focus on boys and girls who live or go to school in Berkhamsted and Northchurch. We provide football for over 1,300 boys and girls in our 94 youth teams.
As a result of our continued success, we attract more players than we can provide places for. We have waiting lists for some age groups but can offer training only places where we do not have capacity in match day squads or for children who may not be ready yet to play in competitive matches.
2024/25 New Season Registrations
We are delighted to announce that we are opening registration for our 2024/25 season Taster Sessions in May for boys and girls who wish to join Berkhamsted Raiders. Each year we look to welcome new members to the club and aim to give you a flavour of the club at our two Taster Sessions.
At our Taster Sessions your child will be able to take part in one of our fun coaching sessions whilst you can watch them in action and also get an overview from some of our volunteers and Trustee team about what you get as a member of Berkhamsted Raiders.
We are an all ability club which means that we don’t filter new members based on ability. Inevitably we find that demand for places exceeds our capacity so we will allocate places based on location (proximity to Berkhamsted) and application date.
These sessions are aimed at Boys coming in to the U7 age group (School Years 1 and 2 next year) and Girls coming in to the U8-U11 age groups (School Years 2-6 next year).
The taster sessions take place on our Astro facility at Ashlyns School, Chesham Road, Berkhamsted. HP4 3AE.

All abilities
Raiders accepts players who may have been told by other clubs that they are “not good enough”. We are an all abilities club that believes that every child should be given the opportunity to participate in sport.
Who can join?
The order of priority for membership of the Club is as follows:
- The child lives in the Berkhamsted and Northchurch HP4 postcode area.

- The parent is willing to volunteer to help with the running of the Club – as a Parent Manager or Assistant Manager or in one of the volunteer roles that are key to running the Club such as Welfare, HR or Marketing.
- There is a welfare case ie refugee status.
- The child is an ex-Raiders player that is returning from an Academy.
- The child is already a Raiders training player who wants to upgrade to full membership.
