7th October 2024 UPDATE: Registration has now closed for our Raiders Tour 2025 as we have submitted all our accommodation requirements to the tour organisers and filled many of our age groups. After a highly successful weekend in Rhyll this year, the Raiders Tour is officially back in 2025 with a new destination – Bournemouth!
Whilst the Rhyl tournament was a great weekend for all the kids and adults that took part, we took onboard the feedback about the location and travelling time and the lack of competitive football for some of the younger age groups. This year we are heading back to our pre-COVID roots and joining the highly popular Bournemouth Classic Tour. It is on the same weekend as last year over the May Day weekend of 2nd-5th May 2025.
Where: Rockley Park Holiday Park, Bournemouth
When: 2nd – 5th May 2025
Who: Can accommodate all our current team requirements from U8 to U14 Boys and U10 to U14 Girls.
Key points
- The accommodation is a similar standard to our accommodation in Rhyl and gets a 4 out of 5 rating on Trip Advisor.
- It is closer than Rhyl, North Wales with an estimated journey time of approx 2.5-3 hours which is hopefully more convenient for everyone.
- There is a range of accommodation options from budget/value caravans to a few luxury lodges
- Overall, the cost is a little more expensive than Rhyl but there are accommodation options to suit various budgets.
- 4-berth – one double room and one twin room
- 6-berth – one double room and two twin rooms
- 8-berth – one double room, two twin rooms and one double sofa bed in the lounge
- 2 people in a 4-berth – pay 100% of 3rd and 4th spaces
- 3 people in a 4-berth – pay 100% of 4th space cost
- 4 people in a 4-berth – no surcharge
- 5 people in a 6-berth – no surcharge
- 6 people in a 6-berth – no surcharge
- 7 people in a 8-berth – pay 100% of 8th space cost
Accommodation
There are several different accommodation options but they fundamentally split into Budget, Standard and Luxury. However, there are fewer units available in the Luxury range and final options will also depend on availability for this busy event.
The accommodation is a mix of 4-berth, 6-berth and 8-berth caravans and lodges with some glamping pods as well!
The number of units is skewed more towards 4-6 berth units with fewer 8 berth units available.
Under Occupancy Charges
There are underoccupancy charges if you are not filling a caravan fully but the accommodation is better suited to matching pairs so should be less people having to pay an additional charge, as long as you are willing to share.

Below is a table that shows the relative costs per person for all accommodation options.
We have added in a £20pp charge to cover admin and team registration costs. Last year we were fortunate to have a range of very kind sponsors cover the cost of our Tour shirts and we hope to do the same thing again this year.
NEXT STEPS
7/10/24 – We have submitted our allocated all families and groups to the accommodation that we had available with preferred sharing options. We will shortly be sending out confirmation details of accommodation booked.
