Raiders Youth Forum – Volunteers Needed
HAVE YOUR VOICE HEARD
Berkhamsted Raiders are setting up a new Raiders Youth Forum to give our players an opportunity to express their views on how the club is run. The club is keen to ensure that the future of Raiders is driven by the needs and desires of the players themselves.
We are looking for players from across the full range of Raiders teams. It’s vitally important that the Youth Forum reflects all types of Raiders experience, regardless of footballing ability. As an inclusive club, we are very proud of our ‘Football for All’ culture and value equally, the input of every player.
Initially, meetings will be one per term and will be hosted by two parent Facilitators who are there purely to support the players in running the session. The plan is for the members to shape the agenda and for the outcomes to be fed directly in to the Committee that runs the club.
The Forum will be divided in to two groups (U10-U14 & U15-U18), although if we have some particularly keen members who are younger than that, please let us know. The plan is to shape the environment of the two meetings to suit the players and make it easier for them to contribute confidently.
For the older players, not only does it represent a chance to have their voice heard but an opportunity to expand their CV and University Personal Statement. Beyond that, we are in conversation with the FA about providing opportunities for our players to represent youth views on County and National FA platforms in the future.
If your child is interested in being part of the Raiders Youth Forum, or you would like to help organise the events as a Parent Facilitator, please get in touch with Sean McKay (sean.mckay.brcfc@gmail.com)
